The Color Purple

Today we created letters to God using  characters from The Color Purple. The character I received was Pa. I found Pa really abusive, so writing a letter based on his traits was really hard for me ,especially from his perspective. We also read letters 28-35. Some of these letters were really explicit to me, but I still enjoyed reading them. These letters helped open up my understanding of why Celie acted the way she did.
